Cloud 9 Bar

$100.00

This picture is the result of my stay out West in 1979 to make pictures for
Polaroid Corporation with the new Polaroid SX70 film that was never sent to me
because Dr. Edwin Land would not release it believing it was not yet perfected.
I remember making this image, being drawn to the jelly candy-like colors of the
neon lights of the bar and their reflection it the rear window of a parked vehicle
across the street.

I don’t remember using a tripod to make the picture although I always traveled
with a tripod in my car. I do remember moving my cameras inches this way, or
that, to compose the geometry of the image. It’s so important how just a few
inches of movement can create a fine picture but it’s purely intuitive for me.
There are no formulas for success.
